what is halting my POST?

I agree with Barry.
Remove everything that is non-essential, including running with only 1 stick
of RAM.
Then gradually re-add items unitl the problem re-appears.

microATX MB with ECC support

Hi,
anyone aware of a microATX form factor MB with ECC support?.
- preferably using Socket 775 CPU connection.

I would like to use it to build a small desktop system.

Does the P5E really support ECC?

"Is PetrS aka Core2Duo?"

No

Btw, I've been using a P5E with 8GB of Kingston RAM w/ ECC for ages ... no
problems (after ASUS fixed the slow POST issue).

Same story for the P5E WS Pro.
