12-core AMD 3900X - does it need better cooling?

If you look at a related server CPU Epyc 7282 16-cores, same size L2 and L3.
Frequency is 700 MHz lower. That has been made so it can max out all core
in a cluster. Desktop CPUs seem to be rated on...

who is using a Xeon Phi?

Presumably this is the most cores sharing memory available,
about 60, but only 1-1.2 GHz each.
I guess it would need some tweeking of code that was written for
nodes of 6/8/12 CPUs.

where goes processors these days?

I do some stuff that requires single-threaded speed, so I look for
quad-cores with greatest MHz, turbo mode, big L1 L2 cache.
The hex/octa offerings are not useful for me. Neither are GPUs.

Win7 late warning about graphics card power

I replaced the graphics card in a PC. It is only used for e-mail, so I
went to spare parts cellar and grabbed what I thought was a low power card.
It had a PCIE6 power socket, but I did not notice...
