Paper curl
I do a lot of printing on Epson Luster 13" rolls.
About a year ago they changed the paper so that it now has a back coating and is much stiffer. As it comes out of the printer it has a pronounced curl which gets worse as the paper feeds from closer to the core. I roll it up backwards around an empty core and leave it this way for a day or so, but it still has a slight curl. Even flattening in a dry mount press doesn't seem to help. Anyone have any ideas on how to get it to lie flat? Thanks... -- Robert D Feinman Landscapes, Cityscapes and Panoramic Photographs http://robertdfeinman.com mail: |

For the thick paper we put it through the sheet-metal roller. sounds weird, but it works just fine, but you don;t use it quite conventionally, and takes some setting up so ya don;t get ya paper dirty. If you do manage to find a standalone one, I will be interested in knowing aswell :). Hopefully someone else here will know. |
