Presario 2104 US laptop
 

When trying to start it, on battery or AC, the blue power on light on
the button blinks on and off as does the whirring sound of the fan.
Sometimes it does start and eventually freezes up or shuts itself off?
I've pulled out each of the memory modules (2 256 modules) one at a time
and even switched them. Pushed in the reset button. Any ideas?

Possible overheating due to clogged ventilation airways?
Possible failed battery? What does the system do when you start it up
without the battery, running on the A/C power adapter?
