Still less than half of Samsung's 30TB SSD.

The price is so high that they don't list it. Price wasn't announced at
the time. Their 2-year older 15TB SSD sold for $10,000 USD.

And that's not the biggest SSD. I see Nimbus Data's ExaDrive DC100 has
100 TB of SSD storage but, again, no pricing schedule yet released.

So the mega-terabyte HDDs look cheap by comparison.

hard drive for a PC cost about $3,000?

It has a 5-yr warranty.

Which you can only use if it's not used for heavily encrypted
or sensitive data, otherwise they'll flog your data.
People prefer to destroy the drive rather than claim the
warranty, even if the controller burns out after a couple of months.

The highest capacity drives always cost more per TB than those in the
middle of the curve. The more economical (and reliable) long-run
strategy for big storage is a RAID box stuffed with smaller but cheaper
drives.
