Repair problem
I replaced a defective motherboard on a Compaq, keeping the same memory &
CPU. When I power up, it won't boot or display any video. Could the CPU be fried? |
Did you get the replacement board from Compaq? Which Compaq PC?

There should be a clear CMOS jumper. Look for a sticker inside your PC case.
Try clearing the CMOS and see if it will then boot. If it won't, either the board is bad or the processor. HH "The Kruegers" wrote in message ... yes - 6320US "HH" wrote in message ...
