Win10 ISO on archive.org??

My partner has a old HP PC, that was originally sold with Win7. It is
unfit for latest version of Win10. In another forum, it was suggested to
stay with 1703 version if you had it.
Microsoft downloads only vomits forth the latest version for punters.
If one searches for ISO of older builds, you get lots of dodgy scumware
sites. But curiously, this also turned up:

Would this be just as dubious as the other foul links?

Microsoft recently, this past week bumped up its resource standing
among analysts, the richest of the rich, again among the top three.
Microsoft also said, not more than a few months ago, it was
downgrading a focus upon any traditional reserve for an Operating
System. Translation: Hardcore, or "''dem's the bumps and you take
'em". Foul scum exists when a top-three controller of wealth and
means exists in an unsanctified state. You may manipulate code not
freely sourced to be modified, rather attempt to learn to all you care
to while the getting is good. Good being a more technical aspect, for
my money, as easy is what is least written long, where an overwhelming
might of dominance, most of all easily, exists to quash a foul puke of
dodgy scumware into oblivion.

When the Roman Alexander the Great [Gnaeus Pompeius Magnus] took his
illegal standing army, with the Senate's blessing, to obliterate a
prolific piracy strangling the lifeblood of Roman grain shipments, he
found the pirates in no less desperate straits;- and granted clemency
on lands he bestowed to them by means to restore their imperium and
adherence to the Roman provinces.

Use the Heidoc URL generator.

You can get any release version of Windows 10 you want.
The URL created, will point to a Microsoft server.
The program has a "Copy URL" button when you've made
your selection. (There shouldn't be any throttling or
monkey business for Windows 10 downloads.)

This is an example of how many Windows 10 releases
you might see. I labeled a few with release numbers.

https://s3.postimg.cc/jjlidxrir/heidoc_win10.gif

It goes all the way back to 10240 (original RTM release).

Thanks for that. Has been downloading for 2h with estimated 6h to go.
Microsoft's servers must get a hammering.

That's not normally a problem.

Make sure you're not downloading onto a FAT32 partition,
as the 64 bit version can be bigger than 4GB.

You can use a download agent that opens multiple
connections, but this normally isn't required for
Win10 OS discs. The content distribution network for
those is pretty good. Even my pitiful broadband can
get a 64-bit ISO of Win10 in about 40 minutes.

For example, when I wanted to get some 7GB ISO from
Microsoft (could have been some SDK or something),
it was only downloading at 60KB/sec. I did the
extra work, to find some downloader that would
open multiple connections (each connection
fetches a byte-range of the file), and then they're
joined together at the end. And that cut the number
of hours by a factor of eight or so. The server is
tolerant of opening multiple connections. Not
all servers support that (some servers police
connection_rate and use a rate limiter, as
well as limiting the max_connections for one
IP address).

I've only seen throttling a couple of times
at microsoft.com , and usually for less frequently
used content. Win10 ISO should not throttle.

I might try that next time. I often download large linux ISOs (Centos, Suse
et alia) at night because I can't be bothered waiting. I have FTTH, which
seems like a waste sometimes.

If he paid for Win 10, he better contact Micro$oft directly for a link!

On whether the archived ISO image was polluted? I frankly don't know.
It's always a gamble, until some authorities stand up and certify it. :)
