Asus Maximus mainboard Graphics Card Recommendation?

Hello,

My MSI NX8800GTS 512MB OC graphics card just failed and I need to
replace it. Looking for recommendations? Motherboard is an Asus
Maximus, which has PCIEx 16 2.0 slots. Not sure if current cards are
compatable. Any suggestions would be appreciated
