7vaxp ultra sata controller bios and SATA data corruption

Is there a utility to flash the bios of the onboard silicon image sata
controller? Its bios is 4.1.35c and the seagate barracude 120 has data
corruption problems. I installed a pci silicon image controller and
had to flash its bios(it came with 4.1.34!!) to 4.2.15 in order to
make it work with the Seagate.
The newest bios at the gigabyte site is F6 but the embedded bios of
the onboard controller remains 4.1.35c after i flash the mobo bios to
F6. So problems remained till i got the pci controller
