Gateway Destination STB Video Rage II Tuner

Try Nvida drivers from their website.

I know STB / Gateway made 95 drivers for this card and those work ok
in 98. No chance of any NT, 2000 or XP drivers? There's not even
linux tuner support for this card which sucks (it has X support
however). If anyone knows of any NT, 2000 or XP drivers or how to
hack the 95 drivers to work in NT, 2000 or XP, I'd really appreciate
it.

I checked them and it said that for owners of stb products, look up
"tdfx.ob" stock ticker. And the latest news was they ceased operation
with no website. The research that I have done on this card has shown
me that the video tuner hardware is the same as ATI used before the
rage theater chip came out. I tried (in vain) to load ATI drivers
just to see if the tuner part would kick in, but it was no luck,
nothing happened. I tried to see if there were any matching files
between the two products but they must have named them differently. :(
I posted on the GATOS website (they make TV drivers for ATI cards
under linux) but no one replied with any info about getting the tuner
drivers to work on other products (this was about 3 or 4 months ago)

I just thought maybe someone else would have an idea.

I have an old g6450 and it oiginally had a stb4400 and stb
tv/radio. I ha have since upgraded to a Visiontek 420 video
card and it works well the stb tv adapter. you can still download
drivers from Gateway. my tuner is brooktree. As far linux,
SUSE 8.1 supports stbtv. drivers are a pain to load in Windows haven'
loaded windows xp. apparently, the stb old stuff does not support
overlays.

This card has 2 PCI ID's
109e:2164 Brooktree 2164 VGA ( Bt2164AHF Chip )
109e:2165 Brooktree 2165 MediaStream controller

The onboard chips a
Philips TDA9850T Audio
Brooktree Bt829akpf Video Decoder
Front End 4032 FY5 Temic 3X7 004 Tuner box

The BTV linux drivers do not support the bt829. I'm not sure what the
2165 connects to, but I suspect the 829 chip.

This card is not a stand-alone tuner so it is a little more complex
than the generic btv stuff.

It shares most all of the same hardware as the non rage theater ATI
All In Wonder cards except for the BT2164 vga chip.
