bios version 68BDD, booting from usb, with hard drive or pendrive?

USB thumb drive bootable.

My usb stick Acer 128Mb formatting Ntfs with Hp Utility, install Puppylinux
the CdLive onto usb pendrive. It's work! With Dsl embedded, same thing.
