Hi there

I'm creating a new PC - I'd like to find out which
CPU will give better performance in a PC used for
digital video editing:

An AMD Athlon XP 1800+ or an Intel Pentium 2GHz?

Thanks in advance.

If you use a video app specifically code optimized for the P4, you
should get *significantly* better performance with the P4 (provided
you have a good cpu cooler and the P4 isn't throttling).

On general oldfashioned 386-code apps, you can expect better
performance on the Athlon.
