MAX resolution for a VGA connector
What is the maximum resolution that a VGA connector can support? Can
it run an LCD at 1920x1200? Also, what is the advantage of DVI over the VGA? |

oups.com... What is the maximum resolution that a VGA connector can support? Can it run an LCD at 1920x1200? Also, what is the advantage of DVI over the VGA? The VGA connector has no limit. I have a CRT monitor that will do 2048x1536, so no worries there. The DVI signal is clearer and you will get a sharper image (on some LCD screens). |

The VGA connector has no limit. I have a CRT monitor that will do 2048x1536,
so no worries there. How does this relate to the fact that some 30'' LCD monitors require a dual connector in a higher end graphics card in order to run? |

Haven't seen one like that - perhaps its something to do with HD video? |

The highest I've seen a monitor support is 2048xsomething Also, what is the advantage of DVI over the VGA? Better signal quality. But truthfully, I've never been able to spot any difference, the analog signal being very good. |
