driver ATI Rage graphics card
 

I can't find the right driver for my ATI graphics card. It's a PCI graphics
card and on the main chip it says:
ATI 3D RAGE (TM)
215GT1NA21
?PD93640GD-LML
9617KK010

I've searched the web and some info says it's a Rage I or II and other pages
say it's an Xpression, but I'm still not sure. If anyone can help me
positively ID this card I've be grateful as I could then locate the right
Windows 98 driver.

And have you visited ATi's website and searched there?! I found your driver
within 30 seconds of searching there.

It's not a Rage II, pretty sure it's a Rage I. I "think" the
Expression WAS a Rage I, and the "Expression +" was a Rage II, though
at this point my memory of it is a bit vague, you may be as well off
to forget that I mentioned "Expression" at all. You "might" be
looking for a driver called "Mach 64", or m_64CT or m_64VT.

I'm fairly sure that driver is built into windows 98 though, if you go
to Display Properties and choose a different display adapter you can
pick amongst those in the ATI category after choosing "show all
hardware" when looking for drivers.

okay thanks Dave. I did try to load the windows driver before posting here
but there was no ATI in the "show all hardware" list. This is what I found
confusing.

yes I did go to ATI's site but based on the chip references I had I couldn't
marry the card up with their model numbers...
what driver did you ascertain within 30 seconds?
