anyone wants them.

IRMAlink IRMA 2 3270 Micro-to-Mainframe communications
IRMA 2 supplies the personal computer with direct coaxial connection
to an IBM 3174, 3274, 3276 or Integral Terminal Controller with Type A
adapters.

Includes two completes sets, each: card + documentation + 3 x 3.5" disks
with code and drivers.
Not in original packing.

Microchannel was introduced in 1987 (32 years ago). It (and EISA and
VLB) got superceded by PCI back in 1993 (26 years ago), so only a 6-year
lifespan. Since it was an IBM proprietary bus architecture, I stayed
away from it. Plus, IBM was the worst advertiser of their products.

As bad as those jean commercials that never mentioned they were trying
to sell jeans.

That'll be some very ancient hardware for needing new or replacement
microchannel cards. I think the guy just doesn't want to pay the fee to
dump the old stuff at a hazards disposal site.

There are actually a number of hobbyists that like MCA and MCA machines.

I've heard that the Digi multi-port serial boards have been claimed. I
suspect it's a matter of time before the terminal cards are.

Why? Unless you have an actual IBM MF with a 3174 etc to connect them
to they're completely useless.

There are a number of people that have IBM mainframes, including 3174
controllers to connect things to.

I recently read a thread, "3270 Controller Simulator" on the cctalk
mailing list, about someone creating hardware to talk to coax connected
3270 terminals. I expect that it would happily talk to the cards in
question.
