Compaq Restore CD does not run

I have a problem with the OEM Restore CD of my Compaq Presario Q
desktop PC (bought y2001; OS=Windows ME).
With all four restore options always the error message "Preload
path not found - Quitting" occurs and one gets back to the start
screen of the CD.
Partition C: was formatted, thus is empty.
Does anybody know how I can solve this problem??

Compaq Restore CD does not run

The Recovery CD requires that the System_sav partition be present and in
tact in order to restore the drive.
