SATA, Drive letters, and Windows XP
You CANNOT change the drive letter on your boot or system partition in XP.

Windows XP does allow drive letter changes through "Disk Management" (Right-click "My Computer", select "Manage", select "Disk Management" under "Storage") The option is available even on the system partition. I do not know, however, what effect this will have on your computer's ability to boot afterward. |
Well, obviously I didn't try it just to find out. If you had read my entire
post you would see that I suggested that the poster check out the help files etc... I did not say with certainty that it could be done. However, the option was available when I clicked on it ... I didn't try to change it, but I did get all the way to the point where it is done. Drumguy "David B." wrote in message news:2rsJa.107677$YZ2.275779@rwcrnsc53...
