Hard disk RAID ?

Hello, I have one ethernet LAN (100Mbps) of 6 pc and 1 server.
The server only share many files.
3 pc are utilized for drawing with Cad software (Autodesk Inventor).
But the pc are slowly from some months.
The server has following characteristics:

Controller IDE NVIDIA nForce3 250 Parallel ATA Controller(v2.6)
Controller IDE NVIDIA nForce3 250 Serial ATA Controller (v2.6)
Controller di archiviazione Silicon Image SiI 3114 SATARaid Controller
Unità disco SiI RAID 1 Set 0 SCSI Disk Device (232 GB)
Unità disco WDC WD1200JD-00HBB0 (111 GB, IDE)
Unità ottica _NEC DVD_RW ND-3500AG (DVD+R9:4x, DVD+RW:16x/4x,
DVD-RW:16x/4x, DVD-ROM:16x, CD:48x/24x/48x DVD+RW/DVD-RW)
Stato dei dischi fissi SMART OK
Silicon Image SiI 3114 SATARaid Controller

But I'm confused.
- are the hard disks in RAID ?
- what is better hardware solution for my situation ?

thanks

Hard to day since you don't say what the physical configuration of the
workstations are, i.e. how many actual hard drives are installed in the
server and how big are those drives.

- what is better hardware solution for my situation ?

First off, what makes you think the server is the problem, what aspect
of the workstation operation is slow?
