Bug, game freezing for a while then continues
 

Anybody else has it? A friend and I have an FX 5200 each, and we're
both having problems with freezes in certain games (e.g. BF1942, Broken
Sword 3, MOHAA and others). The sound gets messed up as well, but after
about 20 seconds the game continues normally, until the next time.

1. Are you overclocking?

2. Is your mouse old? Does it ever lockup in the desktop? I had a flaky
mouse and it would cause pauses in games.

Overheating cards or PSU problems, first check how the cards run with
additional cooling ( case open, ventilator blowing into the case ) if
then the problem is gone, your case has bad ventilation while closed.

Solution: Buy Casefans and install them, or if the case is really
cheap and has no place for casefans, buy better BIGGER case.

Try *any* other nv card to see if it's the fault of the 5200 POS.

I can't tell you for sure about MOHAA (Didn't play for several months), but
in BF1942 you should turn off the music. It has huge impact on the
performance and game running.

I had a flaky joystick and it caused pauses in games and also cut scenes.
