New optical media - Disk activity light stays on all the time.
Hi y'all.
I've just replaced the cdrom & dvdrom in my box with a samsung cdrw/dvdrom combi & a samsung dual layer dvd-rw. The drives both seem to work fine, but the problem is that the drive activity light on my case now stays lit constantly! This didn't happen with the old drives btw, and I don't think it's hd activity, as the hd's are quite audible when they are "working". Board is a Biostar M7NCD, OS is Win XP pro sp2, patched regularly. Any ideas? |

Might have to do a registry entry for XP. |
