HP Pavillion zv5000 Power issue by

Hey everyone.
I have an HP Pavillion zv5000 notebook computer. It's been fine for a
while, but now it won't turn on. I've done some research and I have
found that it may be the power jack that needs to be replaced? What
happens is that when I plug it in, the power light on the front just
blinks....

Plugin for MBM5 to read C2Ds. by
~misfit~[_3_]
http://www.thetechrepository.com/showthread.php?t=74
Just thought folks might be interested. I've enabled it and stopped Core
Temp (as they were reading identically). I was using MBM for CPU load and
Core Temp for temp (indication). Now MBM5 does both.
Cheers,

Shaun.

Really basic soundcard question! by

Please don't knock me for asking such a simplistic question, but I've
just had my eyes opened as to what a soundcard does, and I feel an
utter buffoon! This is what I, rightly or wrongly, used to think:-
1. A soundcard is needed to produce all those beep and pings etc. that
Windows does on certain...
