Where should I buy a GeForce 6600GT from? by
Interesting Ian
I'm wanting to buy a GeForce 6600GT, preferably online. Any recommendations
as to where I should buy it from? Also ideally I would like to have the
option of returning it should it transpire it doesn't work with the rest of
my system. Do online retailers tend to allow you to do this?

Is £4.69 too much for P&P on a processor? by
Johannes
Cori wrote:
Is £4.69 too much for P-&-P on a processor for next day delivery?
One mail order company charges £4.69 for P&P up to 5kg.
That's ok for hard drives, motherboards etc. But a cpu weighs far,
far less.
To guess, the whole package for my AMD Athlon processor might be 150

Ebuyer hard disk packaging woes by
A. J. Moss
I've just bought five 200Gb hard disks from ebuyer. Unbelievably, some
idiot in the packing department put them all together in a cardboard
box, without any packing foam whatsoever. One of the disks exhibits a
fatal fault at 87% when performing a full NTFS format, but the other
four seem to be OK...

FAO: Nick Webster / "We Have Things" by

Do you use a payment company called, "Check Computer Services"? Tel: 01706

The "thing" is, you have overcharged me by £15.73, and I don't have a VAT
invoice yet...
The purpose of this newsgroup message is that it might be of use to others
to know of your real trading as accounting...

19" 1600x1200 TFT monitors by
[email protected]
Is the Iiyama H1900 the *only* 19" TFT monitor that does 1600x1200
resolution? I'm after a replacement for my existing 19" CRT monitor
and would like to keep the 1600x1200 resolution that I use at the
moment but don't want a significantly larger screen area.

Dead Pixels and pixel check. by
John Hardaker
I was interested to read about Aria not doing a pixel check that had been
paid for. A friend bought a 17" Digimate from them and he is very pleased
with it. I am going to buy the same monitor from a computer fair vendor as
he says I can pixel check it myself using a program called DPT.exe...

Just went thru the returns procedure for a product purchased in March, and
because it is in excess of 30 days since I purchased it, I have to contact

Larger Computer Case by
Clive Savage
I recently changed the motherboard and it overhangs the fixing base.
Now I can`t fit a caddy or DVD drive into some of 5.25 spaces.
Any suggestions for a larger case?
Don`t really need a PSU BTW just a larger case to fit all my stuff!
Bye for now.
