PS4 graphics to be PowerVR Series 6 ? by
Benjamin Gawert
* parallax-scroll:
The choice? The
PowerVR Series 6 by Imagination Technologies that utilizes a
technology known as "TBDR," which is "3-5 times better than a
competitive level nVidia/ATI Graphics card." Evidently, Sega used TBDR
to help power the old Sega Dreamcast and if you remember,...

5750 - Different cooling packaging by
FredP
Looking at 5750's to purchase. I see more manufacturer's models with
identical specs but they either have the fully enclosed card cover or the
swoopy(sorry can't think of a better word) cover. Could for smaller cases
where you need to extract as much heat out of the box, the fully enclosed...

Removing plastic shroud from Sapphire 4870? by
Gary
I've seen mention of this, usually for cleaning purposes or adding a
different fan.
In my case though it's primarily to reduce the bulk of the card. Not only
does the dual size cover a PCIe slot, it also gets uncomfortably close to
one of the few PCI slots, which I need to use.
With the PCI...

Composite video TV out problem with Sapphire Radeon 4870 by
Gary
Just installed this card and with both the initial version of Catalyst and
the latest version (9.10).
Unfortunately there's no cloning option of the main display onto the TV, the
only option is to drag the 'disabled TV monitor' icon to the "Main" box,
this brings up a "swap devices" option....

OK, have the 5870 but what about my other hardware? by
Daffy Duck
I have C2D E6850 running at 3.4GHZ with 4GB of DDR2 ram. Will going to
i7 860 with 4GB DDR3 give me much of a performance boost? I will OC the
cpu but not by a lot. I only do mild to medium OC so I don't have to get
into exotic cooling solutions and don't need to up the cpu or ram
voltage....

What Should I Expect of ATI 3200 On-board Graphics? by
Jim Beard[_2_]
I have a new Gateway 4300DX 64-bit AMD 7450 cpus with the
ATI 3200 graphics on the motherboard. I have installed
the Mandriva Linux 2010.0 OS, and there is some question
in my mind about what this combination should do.
Hardware detection says,
Module: ‎Card:ATI Radeon HD 2000 and later...

Where'd they go? by
Steve
So where did all the 58XX's go? I'm up for a good
conspiracy theory.
Was ATI lying when they said they had shipped
tens of thousands of chips to the manufacturers
to support the release?
Did Nvidia buy up all the stock to glean a clue?
Did Fonzi realy jump that shark?

Which driver version do I have? by
Greg N.
My CCC says, I have
Driver packaging version 8.64-090714a1-086600E-ATI
CCC Version 2009.0714.2132.36830
What driver version does that correspond to, in download package
nomenclature, for instance, 6.1 ... 9.10?

Widescreen TV from ATI HD4350 by
nandrews
I am having great difficult configuring my Dell PC with an HD4350 to
show correctly on my Panasonic 32in LCD TV. This was to be the main
purpose for buying this PC!
There are very limited choices of resolution.
Choosing the highest resolution, whilst within the max for the TV
actually looks worse...

4870 x2 compatibility by

I Have just purchased an x2 to replace my gtx280. When placed in my old

my E6400 CPU 3GB Corsair RAM and CRT monitor. So I cheerfully grabbed the

Cards with composite video output? by
Gary
A system update is well overdue, I currently have a Radeon 9500 Pro and

new motherboard will be a Asus P5QL Pro or similar.
I don't really play games much these days, so am just looking for a video
card with reasonable...
