Adv: Ebuyer not refunding items that weren't delivered by
BenO
Hello
I've placed several orders with Ebuyer over the past few months, mostly
without problems.
However on two separate orders, there has been an item which has been drop
shipped from a supplier.( about two weeks between orders)
On both occasions CityLink failed to deliver the item and...

resonable prices and resonably hassle free customer service if things go
wrong) companies to order a few bits from.
Im looking for a new good looking, flashy atx case, normally i order stuff

Let down badly by Aria by
Andy
Hi
Just wanted to share this experience with the group.
My daughter asked me to order an MP3 player from Aria, using all her money
specially for an upcoming school trip.
Player duly arrived in smart presentation box. Opened the box and the player
wasn't packaged. No battery in box - checked in...

Nu Soft Distribution by
Daibhidh
Hi folks
I've just been cold-called by a guy ("Jonathan") from a company called
Nu-Soft distribution that do software licensing etc to trade. He caught me
at a bad moment (I'm usually less than charitable to cold-callers) and I let
him email me a price list. His prices for OEM software licensing...

Overclockers.co.uk packaging standards by
Toch
Hi
I am wondering what packaging Overclockers.co.uk generally uses when sending
out graphics cards to customers. Does it use the graphics card's box in a
jiffy bag method or does it wrap the card's box in 2" thick all-round bubble
wrap or foam all placed in a cardboard box? What's your...

Turn Around Time by
Edward W. Thompson
Having recently returned from 25 years in Canada I am amazed at the
inefficiency of online traders, at least the two I have dealt with to
date.
I ordered a Microsoft Basic Wireless Keyboard from Amazon that was
indicated on their site as in stock. It will take two weeks before I
receive it,...

External Enclosure by
John
Hi,
Can anyone advise where I can buy an external drive (5.25" or 3.5")
enclosure that has Firewire (400 and 800) and USB2 connectivity? This will
be connected cross-platform between Mac and PC. I don't want a device that
already has a drive in it such as the Lacie D2 as I already have the...

(OT?) printer demands to be serviced and stops.... by
Mike Scott
A new one on me.....
A friend tells me his Epson printer stopped (in the middle of a
lengthy and time-critical print run) saying it was due for servicing,
and refused to print another page. He had to buy a new one....not an
Epson apparently :-)
Anyone else heard of this apparent wheeze to jack...

Sunil Sood
I have to return a faulty ADSL router to ebuyer.which I have had for about 2
months now..
Under the Sales of Goods Act (or something else?) can I ask them to arrange
either:
a) for the collection of the faulty item
b) my P&P costs to be reimbursed.
If I can choose either option - is it my choice...

Taiyos in cases in the UK? by
Paul Hutchings
Does anyone have any recommendations for the cheapest jewel cased Taiyo
CDRs?
I'm not averse to getting the media and cases separately if needs be.
The plextor media at ebuyer seems the cheapest so far at around 23p inc
cases.

Paul

ARIA claiming they haven't received my return? by
sjcat
I'm guessing this newsgroup is for people to post their tales of woe
about lack of CS from UK computer vendors. So here we go:
Does this scenario sound familiar to anyone?
I purchased a Dell 19" Monitor on ARIA (www.aria.co.uk), 31st May (a
holiday Monday in the UK).
Turns out in my enthusiasm I...
