Speaker Setting Problem by

I have Windows XP with an Altec 251 5.1 surround sound speaker system
driven by a Sound Blaster Live sound card. My problem is this.
When I set the speaker setting in START-CONTROL PANEL-SOUNDS, SPEECH, AND

Obtaining a second SPDIF input on the Audigy by

Hi everyone,
I'd like to use some of the pins on the header of my Audigy to enable a
second SPDIF input (from my DD receiver). According to the documentation,
there are two SPDIF input pins (ignoring ground):
GP_SPDIFIN#2 (pin 6) and
GP_SPDIFIN1 (pin 15)

SB Live platinum and AC3 DD via SPDIF by

On a clean install of XP I can get Dolby Digital via SPdif to output to
DTT2500 speakers no prob (using the generic XP drivers) however when I
install the apps and new drivers (Livedrivepac from creative website )I can

Soundfonts for SB live by

Does anyone know where I can dl creative soundfonts? updating drivers etc.
only gives the 2Mb font, looking for the 8Mb ideally.
Or how can I, or is it possible to, extract it for the orginal driver disk?

drivers, im running xp and the sound dies when i run a game. I went to their
site and downloaded the win 2k/xp patch but it didnt fix the problem. Can
anyone help?

speaker. In the diagnostic speaker test mode, description states that the
card is capable of producing sound from 2 or 4 speakers. Does this mean no

Can't install PlayCenter 3 with SB Live by

Have problems trying to install Creative PlayCenter 3.
I have a SB Live Value card, drivers installed using downloaded sblw9xup.exe
but when I try to install PlayCenter it saysI need the latest version of
Sound Blaster Live! DriverPack installed. That is what I have already done

is there any remedy for the low volume with this card. noticed a big
difference from the sb128. Also is it possible to hook up spdif from a
digital effects unit to the sb live spdif input for the cd. I might of heard
that there was a difference in voltage.

What is the met file that playcenter creates when ripping? there is one for
each song with the name. I use winamp to play back and dont experience any
problems when deleted, but would like to know what they do for the
playcenter.

The window appears automatically when I reboot the computer and I have to
click on exit to get rid of it. There is nothing in the startup file. I
have windows 2000.
The autohide option is greyed out.
How do I fix this? Should I reinstall?
