Arctic Silver or Arctic Alumina? by Ransack The Elder
Any thoughts on them? Is Alumina as good as Silver? I have some of each I can use, but the Silver is about a year old while I just got the Alumina the other day so it's fresher. I'm thinking go Alumina mainly because it's newer unless there's a good reason not to.

Are Heat Sink fans for socket 754 AMD CPU's compatable with the socket 939 Motherboards? by Keith S.
Are Heat Sink fans for socket 754 AMD CPU's compatable with the socket 939 Motherboards? I would like to use a quiet Zalman fan (CNPS7000A-Cu) with one of the new Athlon 64s for socket 939 - but I can not confirm compatability.

Are my CPU's MP's? by SPS 700
Hi I recently bought 2 XP1400's. When I got them the bios identifies them as Mobile XP's. I run Wcpuid and in the extended info it says they are multi processor capable. None of my other 8 AMD cpu's say this. Is this a fluke in Wcpuid or are they truely MP enabled cpu's?

Are Sempron Processors any good? by Big Daddy
I was looking at a new PC on Ebay and I saw one at a good price with a Sempron processor. I read that they won't work for 64 bit and there slower than athlons. My main concern though is are they compatible with everything a Athlon is compatible with? I'm asking because I heard Celeron...

Are Semprons inchangable onto Athlon motherboards? by T
That is, could a great deal on a Sempron during the building of a new system lead me to spend those dollars in the present on something else, with the plan to later throttle up the processor to an Athlon (64?) using the same motherboard and memory? Or are the architectures too different and...

Okay, I was all sent to buy a Epox MB, carefully researching the alternatives - and low and behold, this darned Asus keeps popping up... I also saw the Soyo Dragon series. I went up on the Asus site and the specs are confusing to say the least! It seams there's 4 versions of the A7N8X - and only...

Asus A7V + Athlon TB 1400 C by Florian Auer
Hello, a few days ago, I got an AMD Athlon Thunderbird-CPU with 1,4 GHz from the "C"-Series. Now I want to run this CPU in my good old Asus A7V with KT133-chipset. I know, the CPU is FSB 133 and the set is FSB 100. But with a BIOS-Update it should not be a problem to run a 1400 MHz-CPU at 14 x...

Asus iPanel by Duble
I had an Asus iPanel connected to my old A7M266 mobo. Everything worked fine, but I then upgraded to the A7N8X. I see that the A7N8X has an IR connector. My question is, therefore, is there a way to 'adapt' the iPanel, to allow me to use the IR port within it, as I am still using the USB ports,...

Just installed a new Athlon 1.33GHz 266FSB on GA-7ZXR Rev1.0 board. Have latest BIOS version FB installed. I'm unable to get the board to boot when the CPU dip switches are set to 133MHz, even though it appears the board and the BIOS should support this. The POST screen also misses the boat and...
