CL2.5 RAM by
Daniel
Hi,
I need to buy some PC3200 RAM for my 400FSB motherboard.
I'm not rich enough to pay out the over-the-top prices for CL2 memory, but
some RAM on dabs.com is listed as CL3, and some as CL2.5.
Is the 2.5 going to be much better than 3? is it worth the extra £10-20 or
so over the CL3? Would it be...

Cleaning a processor by
Richard Bailey
I had to RMA a mb back so I'll have to reinstall the processor (barton
2500+) when it gets back. What's the best way to clean the old heat sink
goop off with out damaging the processor? This was the stock (new) heat sink
plus a little arctic silver.
Thanks
Richard

Confused about RAM types and Athlon64? by
Daniel
Hey there guys :)
First post here! I haven't bought a desktop puter since my Thunderbird
800 MHz in 2000 - now I'm gonna build a wicked kickass Athlon64 :D
Only thing is, being out of the game for so long, I'm deeply confused
with the memory situation. I've got my heart set on the Abit KV8-MAX3...

Consiglio: athlon 2800+ e radeon 9200 by
Stacabom
Salve!!! Scrivo per ricevere un consiglio (anzi, due!!)...
1) quanto potrei valutare una ATI Radeon 9200 256 mb RAM (usata)?
2)quanto potrei valutare un AMD Athlon 2800+ usato? Dovrei acquistarlo, e
non sono molto aggiornato sui nuovi prezzi...
3)un' altra domanda-bonus (forse stupida per i più...

Cooler Master Jet 7+ vs. ThermalTake Silent Boost K7 by
Brett Tyre
With this summer heat, I'm having some serious heat issues with my XP 3000+.
I'm reaching 73.5C under load (Painkiller game) after ~45 min using the
stock AMD heatsink/fan. From the reviews I've looked at, either the Cooler
Master Jet 7+ (the all copper one) or the ThermalTake Silent Boost...

Corsair Hydrocool 200 Watercooling System by
Muhher Fuhher
Any opinions on this equipment? Anyone currently use this cooling system?
How well does it perform? Is it considered fail-safe? Leak proof? Thinking
of purchasing it for my AMD-based system but skeptical... Any input
appreciated.

cost of xp2500 and xp2600 -- 333 by
Dennis
Hi all,
Does anyone have any insight into why it is that Pricewatch.com
reports best prices of the 2600+ to be at or below those of the 2500+?
Is the 2500 as good or better than the former?
Thanks.

Could this be a CPU bug? by
pass
Hello.
My computer is having this chronic problem which I believe is hardware
related. I've narrowed it down to either the CPU (Athlon Thunderbird 850
socket A) or the motherboard ( Asus A7V133-VM, VIA KM133 chipset)
The problem happens at random, but is more commonly 'provoked' when
there are...
