KingJohn
Is there any good review for full 64 bits PC computers?
I am looking for better brand names with reasonable good support.
I am looking for PC computers with motherboards which can be upgraded.
We have Dell computers in our offices. But decided to look for alternatives
because we want PC computers...

athlon 64 x1 vs x2 by
gg
for the same performance rating say 3800+ what is the advantage of having x1
vs. x2?
Unless the performance number x2 have different meaning from those in x1, I
don't see why I should spend more money to get x2.
Please illuminate me how AMD use the performance rating in x2

Gordon Stephens
Hi,
My current ageing PC seems to randomly freeze on me (been happening for the
last 3 months) causing havoc with lost work and so on. I have full AV,
anti-spyware, firewall etc and frequently check and clean the setup.
I am thinking it may be the Gigabyte mobo that is at fault (though I guess...

Strange problem with AMD Athlon 64 hangs on load drop by
MC
Hi folks,
I'm running into a strange problem with my PC hanging (freeze)
apparently when the CPU load drops suddenly from 100% like when exiting
a full load application. I've poked around a little in searches but
found nothing conclusive yet to help me with this problem, I hope
someone here...

I have a good grip on understanding the Athlon XP series bus speeds and
compatible memory; however, I 'm somewhat stumped on the new Athlon 64
X2 (AM2 socket) chips and what is the "fastest" DDR2 memory they will
work with (fully take advantage of).
For example, the tour tab on the following...

ECC RAM & 64X2 motherboard question by
Ian M
Looking for advice. Getting lost with poor supplier specs.
Building a new PC. Performance needs not outrageous, but it'll do audio
production (on Linux), so future-proofing with dual cores seems sensible.
Have loads of ECC Reg DDR RAM lying about. AFAIK DDR means skt939 only,
but I can't...
