HMSDOC
I have a question regarding the connection of the two USB ports on my Lian Li
case to the Gigabyte 8KNXP motherboard. The motherboard manual calls for
placement of pins….9 pins for each of two Front USB connectors. From what I
can tell each of the USB connectors gets pins labeled power, power,...

Need help, cannot find a power supply for Monsoon mm-702 by
Mott
My friend recently gave me his Monsoon MM-702 flat panel speaker
system and the only thing about it is that it doesn't have a power
cord. I thought this would be ok because it says 12 VAC and atleast I
thought that meant 12v AC. I have 2 12v AC adapters at home but noone
of them will fit it because...

That ^%$%$# 110/220 volt switch !!! (115/230 or 120/240 --) by
R. Asby Dragon
Just something to put in your "bag 'o tricks"...
ALWAYS check that little slide switch on your power supply !!!
(unless you have one of those "universal voltage" units)
I should have spotted it right away; but I was complacent and frustrated at the
same time. I'd been snagging and scrounging new...

M7NCD motherboard settings by
Fitz
I upgraded a computer, replacing the MB/Processor/RAM and HD. The
motherboard is a Biostar M7NCD (non Pro version). The instruction manual
leaves
a lot to be desired.
The problem I am having is two-fold. First, the computer will not go into
sleep mode (WinXP w/SP1). It momentarily shuts down, then...

Al Dykes
I want to put together a bargin ATX system that needs only a basic CPU
and a minimum of moving parts.
Can someone recommend a current CPU and a no-fan heatsink for it ?
I'm willing to downspeed the clock to make the system run cooler.
I guess I'm shopping for an AMD-based system but if there's
a...
