Fan controller and fan speed Q by
Darth Joules
If my case fans run at their normal 2500rpm speed when connected to
any of the mobo fan headers or Molex connections, can I push the fans
to go faster if they are instead connected to a good fan controller.
I'm thinking of getting the Akasa Fan Controller Pro and it would be
nice if I could get...

Fan controller sensors too big for CPU? by
Jim Caldwell
I bought a fan controller for four fans. Was disappointed with it, as the
sensors, while small, are much too big to mount between the CPU socket and
the CPU (XP3000). Definitely not designed for CPU temp monitoring! There
are definitely tiny sensors designed for this, such as the one which...

Fan controller/system monitor? by
Vormulac
Hi all,
Does anyone out there use any a fan control/system monitor panel like the
CoolDrive4 or Silverstone Eudemon?
I'm putting a new system together in a week or so and wondered if they were
actually of any use or just flashy, shiny things to point at and go
"ooooh"?
I'll be using a Wavemaster...

My question: Does anyone out there have any experience with this one? Or
does anyone have any recommendations? I've got 3 x 80mm exhaust fans...

Fan died on NF7 - Replace? by
Jake
The chipset fan on my Abit NF7 died a couple of weeks ago. I'm running a
mobile Barton 2500+ at 2.34ghz. How critical is this fan, and are negative
consequences likely if I do not replace it?
Thank you,
jake

fan direction by
jay
I just took the stock heatsink and put a 80mm fan tunnel on it. What I was
wondering was which way should the fan blow on it or off it? Thanks Jay

fan for overclocked XP2500? by
Larry Gagnon
Thanks to all previous responses to my query concerning whether to
purchase an XP3000 (many recommended overclocking the XP2500 instead).
I am considering a Vantek Aeroflow fan for the XP2500. Would it be
sufficient cooling for overclocking to 3200?

Fan for Thermalright SLK-900-A by
Davek
Last night I read reviews for this heat sink and I'm
convinced it's the way I'm going to go for HSF. It will
only take a 92mm fan. Is it possible to get some kind of
adapter to put a 120mm fan on this sink? I really like the
Panaflo's (I have 5 on my case now and have one extra that's
not in use...

fan monitor wire by
Bushy
hey all, got a bit of a dilemma with my box. i've got a fan controller on
the front, and i've plugged my cpu fan into this. This of course means, that
my MB tells me about the lack of cpu fan every time it boots...luckily this
doesn't stop it booting, but it is a bit annoying.
i was wondering if...

fan sense lead emulation by
[email protected]
I have a motherboard that I wish to convert to liquid cooling for
silence. However, the chipset and CPU fan header inputs must show a
fan speed value to boot. Without these leads connected the speaker
gives a solid tone. (I connected the power without the sensor lead to
validate this...

fan speed and noise reduction by
Charles
I am running an AMD Athlon XP 2000+
I think it is running at either 1.6 or 1.8 Ghz
In an effort to reduce noise, I removed the
factory fan/heatsink and replaced it with a
"Cooler Master X Dream II" which claims to
have less than 24dBA of noise.
I want to reduce the noise from my fan a
bit further.

FAQ on overclocking Asus mb - Auto vs. Standard vs. Adaptive by
John Smith
Can anyone explain the mechanics of operation of Asus' overclocking scheme.
The bios definitions are skimpy and I would like to know what I am doing
first:
1. What is the difference between "Auto", "Standard" and "Adaptive
Overclocking". Right now my system is set to "auto" - what does that mean.
