We are a nonprofit company employing adults with disabilities. One of
our projects is degaussing, cleaning and repackaging data storage
tape. I belive those are backwards compatible. I'll check with our
partner company.
If you have a need for any tape let me know. We have 3480/3490, 3590,

Can copy tape on fly? by

If I have 2 tape drives. Can I copy all content from a tape, say A, to
another, say B, on fly? Or I must restore all content on tape A to
disk and archive them to tape B? Appreciated for any reply.

Used DLTIV tapes in DLT1 drive by

Hi all,
i've got a bunch of DLT IV tapes which were previously used
in DLT7000 or DLT8000 drives. Short of buying new tapes i'd
like to reuse them in a DLT1 drive. Apparently the format
isn't compatible, so does anyone know a way to completely
erase the tapes so they can be used with a DLT1...

Is there any way to detect the CHS information of a block device
by only a software in Linux? I think the analysis of elapse time of
reading a block which has various distance of each another.

directly attached to the Netapp box and configuration has done at
Netbackup server. NetApp box is serving NFS, CIFS, and iSCSI data.We
