Al

I have a Shuttle system. I'm looking for an external Raid 1 system
using a Firewire connection preferrably. Something simple i.e. two
hard drives and the cheaper the better (around £400)! Is there such a
thing?
I recently started reading about NAS. Although they seem to connect
via a Rj45...

SDLT technology question by
Rob Turk
Hello group,
On older DLT drives there's a know issue with slow restores when the system
area of the tape hasn't properly been updated. This could happen because of
power loss or SCSI bus reset with the tape still in the drive. The next time
such a tape was loaded, the drive couldn't use the...

Fibre Channel Hub by
Rico
hi,
Can anyone recommend a fibre Channel hub which will provide failover
for a W2k cluster with a Metastor E2400 and QLA2300F/66 2Gb PCI HBA's.
Would a IBM Netfinity Fibre Channel Hub - 3523 or Emulex LH1005 do the
job?
I'm looking for something less expensive than 8 port switch.
cheers

Data rate matching for IBM LTO-2 by
Paul
Hi all,
I have a client with an ADIC library that has LTO-2 drives. I don't know
how low a data rate the IBM drives can match to. HP has a handy-dandy specs
sheet for their drives (imagine that)
http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/11739_na/11739_na.html
But I can't find anything...

remote management interface for NetApp Filers by
asdf
Hi All,
Anyone familiar with NetApp Filers? I'm trying to find out if
NetApp Filers support some sort of management software interface, such
as Microsoft's WMI (WEBM implementation) that would allow the management
of file system entities (from volumes down to the file level).
Thanks!

I know that Windows 2000 and 2003 server can be a iSCSI host but can you
setup a Windows machine as iSCSI server?
In other words can you use Windows to create some sort of SAN/NAS device
that services it's disks to other Windows hosts via iSCSI?
