Abit AT8s will be available in January!!! by
gold fingers
After quite thoroughly shopping (researching) around for the best
motherboard for me, I guess the AT8 is the closest to what I need.
Notice I said 'closest', I did make a wish list and realized that I
would never be able to cover everything on the list, but I did come
darn close. The things not...

flow for two dual slot gtx 7800, 512 MB cards.

VA-20 won't boot by
Perry Webb
Anyone know what would cause a Abit VA-20 motherboard to beep slowly with
single beeps and have no display? The CPU (AMD Athlon XP 2100+) and memory
(Kingston 512MB DDR PC 2100) run of a 133MHz bus (the default). I've
tried slowing it to 100MHz. I've tried it with no drives and all the
drives. ...

Max power allowed for AN8 Ultra fan headers by
Ed Zeppelin
I have a Abit AN8 Ultra motherboard, I want to put it
in my Gigabyte 3D Aurora tower case. The Aurora has two
12cm fans in the back that are connected in parallel to
a single 3 pin header wire that you are supposed to
plug into a motherboard fan header. It seemed to me
that two fans might take more...

KV7-V and Athlon XP 3200+ FSB problem by
Prog
I have installed an Athlon XP 3200+ on a KV7-V motherboard with 1GB of
DDR400 RAM. Unfortunately the BIOS doesn't seem to want to detect the CPU
properly and runs with an FSB of 100MHz making it an Athlon XP 1100MHz.
Also, the RAM speed is set to 266MHz
I have flashed the BIOS to v15 but this has...

KT-7 and Capacitor Problem by
Tom Snoiker
Been using this KT-7 for some time and just the other day started
acting badly. Registry corruption on shutdown, booting issues, random
crashes in windows. Also noticing my CPU has been running hot (42C in
a 30C system environment, they claim this is a symptom of capacitor
issues)
I've checked...

I have been told that the KV7-V won't work with more than one DIMM at

Is this true or just utter nonsense?
Thanks for your time.

Chieftec case + ABIT motherboard, good or bad ? by
Skybuck Flying
Hello,
I have read stories about some cases being bad because they require the
motherboard to be upside down thus some chips would overheat etc.
Would ABIT recommend using cases from Chieftec ? (For example the Bravo and
Smart series ?? )
(In other words are these cases from Chieftec safe to use...
