MRAM by
4thHorse
I read an post from earlier this year stating reasons why MRAM might
have a difficult time establishing a market, but I noticed that it did
not mention the fact that MRAM does not lose info after power loss.
Does this only help with quick boot-up, or are there other
applications?

Which brand is most reliable for cd-r discs? by
A. Nonimus
Hi, I know this opens a bucket of worms, and I know that in part it
depends on which burner you are using and which software you are
burning with. And that it depends more on the manufacturer of the discs
as opposed to the brand name.
But I have heard that there are SOME disc brands which...

I run a small business with two office locations and would like to
back-up each server to the other via internet. I understand there are
many web companies marketing automatic online backup services;
however, I hope to reduce costs by backing up to my own remote

there are some SMART disks which can give out some Additional Sense Data
that would indicate that the disk is going bad.
What algorithms are use and what parameters are considered?
Are there softwares that do such...

New SAN software from Onaro by
Ab123
Just curious if anyone looked at the software from Onaro. Looks like
an interesting new paradigm of managing a SAN - intellegent realtime
monitoring of the SAN and changing it on the fly.
Any experiences/opinions?

Does a network storage to USB drive converter exist? by
abonne
Hello:
I wonder if any converters are out there, to make a networked storage
(SMB share, NDAS, ...) appear as a USB drive. That would be a small box
with a USB male connector and a 1GB Ethernet socket, remotely
configurable to access the specific networked storage.
Thank you in advance for any...

Multi microsd reader by
acd
micro-SD are one of the most economical and compact flash media.
I wonder if there are adapters to connect many of them in a compact
format,
say 32,64 or more.
This would represent a scalable SSD building block.
