a concerned member of the usenet community
I have a box that I've upgraded from a 95 machine to 98 to 98SE that is on
it's third case, fourth primary HD and, after yesterday, it's sixth board.
It hasn't always been easy, but it generally turns out OK because I go to
Device Mgr in Safe Mode and uninstall everything before shutting down...

Soyo drivers now that they're gone? by
a concerned member of the usenet community
So I tried hitting Soyo's servers for a driver/install CD and found them
dead. Further look shows they went Chapter 7 in May.
Any ideas on where to get downloads now? Has some other company absorbed
their assests or are they (and all their critical data) gone?
If it's not one thing it's...

a concerned member of the usenet community
Does True Image 9 phone home? Does it act like XP if I use it on two
machines? I need to run it from a 98SE partition another machine and the
newer ones do not support it.

RAM configuration by
A Cowan
Hey, I have a Gigabyte GA-7VT600 with 256MB PC2700 RAM installed in bank 0/1
(locator A0), I remember with old motherboards RAM could only be installed
using matching modules, eg 2 32MB sticks to make up 64MB.
Is this still the case? Or could I add 512MB PC2700 RAM to bank 2/3 (locator
A1) to make...
