4-pin 12v Connector on Biostar NF 4X-A7 by
[email protected]
Hi everybody, I just bought a Biostar NF 4X-A7 motherboard as part of
a major system upgrade that included a new video card, more RAM, and a
new wifi card. Ever since installing the new hardware (I kept my old
processor, an Athlon 64 3700+ on S754) I'd been experiencing stability
issues. My new...

The problem you have is that micoshaft PISTA is inferior technology

So you can dump micoshaft...

How to avoid motherboard with bad caps? Go with Albatron? by

This may be old news to many of you.
In considering a new motherboard, I remembered an article I stumbled
upon a few days ago talking about bad capacitors in motherboards
manufactured in the last two years. I just Googled the topic and found
some scary information. I have built three computers...

data off of old hard drive?? by
8'''''8
I have a couple of old hard drives that I would like to get the data
off of. Is there an easy way (for me, with computers, nothing is
easy) to connect the drive to my existing computer? How about an
adapter that plugs into a USB port?
Thanks in advance.

Ancient motherboard question by
9am1root
Hi,
One of my PC's motherboard has I430TX chipset. The manual
says it supports SDRAM whose speed is 60/66 mhz. Will new
SDRAM availble today work and in what quantities (I'd like
to buy one 256mb module, but 2x 128 is also OK)? The board
supports max. 256mb.
Thanks

I just installed Win2000 on my old Win98SE machine.
Using Win98 floppy to boot the machine, then FIDSK to partition and
format(fat36) your HDs anyway you want, then install Win2000, at the very
begining of the installation, Win2000 will ask you whether you want to
repartition or to convert Fat36...

Does a Firewire 800 PCI card make sense in a 32-bit PCI slot? by
@drian
The subject says it all. I'm under the impression that Firewire 800 only
works at full speed in a 64-bit slot. If I'm right and it's used in a
32-bit slot, what's the point paying the extra money for a speed you'll
never achieve in a 32-bit slot?
I'm looking at this...
