hp scanjet scanners by
[email protected]
I have two hp scanjets, one is operating under XP and the other under
win98. In both cases you have to turn power off before initaialising
the scanner software. In some cases the system requires
re-installation of the hp software.
If anybody can suggest what to do I would appreciate it.

Pacific Image and Vuescan, color management by
Fanta
Hello,
I am interested in moving to the Pacific Image PF3650 PRO3 because
of its capability to batch scan uncut films, but have concerns related
to color management. My workflow would be:
- scan with Vuescan and save RAW files;
- open the RAW file with (say) Photoshop, and assign the scanner...

Poor quality from OKI C7350 with S700 Scancopier by
Tonny Iversen
Hello. We have tried an OKI C7350 with S700 Scancopier which together
forms a multifunction device which can both print, scan and copy.
Printing works just fine and the quality is as expected. Copying works
just fine with the S700 Scancopier set to Quality mode, but when set in
Normal mode, the...

Umax Vista S6E by
Mike Davies
I have been given a Vista S6E scanner unfortunately without a cable or any
manuals.
It was previously connected to a Mac and i have the software but I would
like to use it on my Linux box. I believe this model is supported by the
SANE package so should be OK.
I obviously need a suitable cable and...

req: driver for canon scanner - canoscan 8200F by

Can anyone help with an English driver for the above scanner, foolishly
purchased in Japan without checking if there was an English driver !!? I've
attempted to use the 8000 driver but I still get "unable to detect TWAIN
source". Right now, this scanner is unusable, so would LOVE some...

Removing Glass on Perfection 3200 by
xDsrtRat
I have an Epson 3200 scanner and the underside of the glass seems dirty. It
almost looks like water spots. These spots are starting to interfere with
the scan quality. I contacted Epson about cleaning the underside of the
glass and they said to take it in. I don't trust the only shop in my...

scan many photos by
Silence Kid
I have to scan many 10x15mm photos (3000).
Do you know some scanner with a auto document feeder (about 20 sheet at
time) that do this (i prefer ONLY this).
I've seen HP 5530 but it's too expensive.
My budget is 150 $.
Thanks and sorry for my bad english.

Benq 5000 Scanner by
Roy
Bought the Benq 5000 Scanner from eBuyer - probably a mistake as very cheap.
Some of the software is truely appalling - but the only thing that is very
bad is the fact that I cannot see how to define the "print area" used when
the print button is pressed on the front of the scanner. It auto picks...

Epson Expression 10000XL Photo by
Stephane
I am looking for a high quality flatbed to scan film. Something a bit
like a creo IQSmart, but I can't afford the Creo. I have seen that
Epson has the Expression 10000XL wich, on paper, seems to fit the
bill.
does anyone have experience scanning film with that scanner ? Maybe
give an evaluation of...

What scanner dpi should I use? by
Ryan Atici
I like to scan a few old photos. Unfortunately, I don't have the negatives
of the photos. The photos I want to scan belong to my childhood years. They
are very old photos as years have taken their toll on them with minor
discoloration. As I see it, the only way to safely retain the photos...
