Has anyone cleaned the inside glass surface of a Canonscan D2400U? I there a writeup anywhere showing the correct way to open the case? Beemer

I have two hp scanjets, one is operating under XP and the other under win98. In both cases you have to turn power off before initaialising the scanner software. In some cases the system requires re-installation of the hp software. If anybody can suggest what to do I would appreciate it. Dave M
