NV-7 SATA by
Bob Troll
Absolutely you can use one sata drive as a regular drive. I do it here with
2 without using raid. You have to set them up in a raid configuration only
if you want that, otherwise they act just like 2 seperate drives.
On another note I noticed you have the same Optorite dvd burner as I and I
am...

upgrade ABIT BH6 board by
RESloan
One option is what I did with mine. I kept the board and got a Celeron II
566 which I have OCed to 850(with the adaptor). - you could of course get
a faster chip. My wife still uses it and it has really been stable, and
works good for what she does - surfing and word processing.

would freeze at the part that says "Detecting IDE Devices." Well, I did my
research and sure enough, it's my older Western Digital harddrives...

standard Intel cooler, carefully applied using good fresh compound,
fan spinning at about 4000rpm...
On boot-up from cold the bios shows the CPU temp at about 65...

KT7A-RAID Ver. 1 and AGP bus by
LinuxMan
I'm having trouble w/ my AGP video card dropping to blank screens and test
patterns. If I run a PCI card, everything is OK. My AGP video card has
been replaced by ATI under warranty. Assuming that my new replacement AGP
card is ok, should I suspect my motherborad? Is there a history of AGP...

My overclocked P4 rig by
SilverBack
Just finished setting it up.
It took me a while to figure out which water cooling gear to go with.
I finnally decided to go with the stuff made at Danger Den, a Maze 4 kit.
I have a 2.4C running at 3.22, not a super OC, but it's stable as hell.
I posted a page for anyone wanting to see a water...

In de bios i can select e.g. for 133 mHz and a multiplyer to 20, so i get

NF7 V2.0 questions by
dgk
I'm considering an ABIT NF7 V2.0, maybe a Barton 2500 or a bit higher.
Mostly I want good performance on disk i/o since I do a lot of work
with large wav files and compression (SHN, FLAC). So I'm thinking of
raid with SATA. But I've heard some bad things about SATA on the NF7.
Not too much here on...
