Printing onto metal by
CWatters
Anyone tried using a standard inkjet printer to printing onto non-porous
surfaces like metal or plastic sheet? Is there any way to get the ink to dry
before it hits the rollers?
I know you can print onto OHP film but I'd really like to try printing onto
something thicker like a instrument panel.

Looking for BIG printer by
Dan Engebretson
I am looking for a wide-format PRINTER but do not want to go the plotter
route just yet. Inkjet or laser is fine. The Epson Stylus 1520 (up to
17"x22" format) would fit the bill, but I understand they are discontinued.
Could anybody recommend an alternate? So just who makes the largest...

Canon i850 page feed problem by

Still needing help. I have a Canon i850 and it has worked great until
a couple weeks ago when I started printing wedding invitation
envelopes. I had some problems getting it to print the odd sized
envelopes, but I eventually managed to get them to print. However,
ever since I did that the...

Recommending printers for text only by

I am a newbie with this stuff. My girlfriend gave me her Gateway
computer which has windows 98 installed. I plan to use it only as a
word processor to do some writing, no photos, no color. I think of it
as a glorified typewriter. I want something that will be reliable and
economical. Probably will...

My i950 arrived last Tuesday. I completely concur!
Absolutely brilliant images. And it's a nice looking unit too!
Beats the hell out of any other printer I've seen, in any store.

True print speed for the Canon 950i by
Mr 645
I know what the box says but those figuers rarely mean anything in the real
world. Can anyone tell me how long it really takes for these fast Canon photo
printers to kick out an 8x10 on premium paper at enough res to look like a real
photograph?
Thanks

Anything besides an i950 that fits this? by
David G. Stinner
Have you looked at the HP Photosmart 7550? It's $299.99. The printheads
are built into the cartridge so when you change cartridges, you are changing
printheads at the same time. Another benefit of the printhead being
built-in to the cartridge is no priming necessary, therefore no wasted ink.
