Printing onto metal by CWatters
Anyone tried using a standard inkjet printer to printing onto non-porous surfaces like metal or plastic sheet? Is there any way to get the ink to dry before it hits the rollers? I know you can print onto OHP film but I'd really like to try printing onto something thicker like a instrument panel.

Looking for BIG printer by Dan Engebretson
I am looking for a wide-format PRINTER but do not want to go the plotter route just yet. Inkjet or laser is fine. The Epson Stylus 1520 (up to 17"x22" format) would fit the bill, but I understand they are discontinued. Could anybody recommend an alternate? So just who makes the largest...

Recommending printers for text only by walt kuciej
I am a newbie with this stuff. My girlfriend gave me her Gateway computer which has windows 98 installed. I plan to use it only as a word processor to do some writing, no photos, no color. I think of it as a glorified typewriter. I want something that will be reliable and economical. Probably will...

Anything besides an i950 that fits this? by David G. Stinner
Have you looked at the HP Photosmart 7550? It's $299.99. The printheads are built into the cartridge so when you change cartridges, you are changing printheads at the same time. Another benefit of the printhead being built-in to the cartridge is no priming necessary, therefore no wasted ink. "F....
