HP P2035n doesn't print from win 2003 machine by
Kevin Lucas[_2_]
Hi All,
I've got an issue with a couple of HP LJ P2035n printers that I've recently
installed at work. The printers are served off of a machine running 64 bit
Windows server 2003 RC2. I've installed the 64 bit driver from hp and then
added the 32 bit driver in the spot to add additional drivers...

Why so many USB ports? by
Don Phillipson[_4_]
Brother printer drivers configure USB printers with a number
of separate USB ports available, some of which print OK
while others do not. E.g. my DCP 330C shows:
BRMFC MFL Resources
BRUSB: USB Printer
BRUSB_11: NULL
BRUSB_14: NULL
BRUSB_19: USB Printer
1. Why so many different ports?

canon cleaning cycles by
glathrem
Currently I have a MP180. This is my third Canon. When it finally gives me
the waste pad error I'm gonna throw it in the trash and you could not give
me another Canon. Turn it on, cleaning cycle. Print a page, cleans before it
prints. Then it cleans after printing the page. And when I turn it...

HP Update problem by
Andrew Rossmann
I have an older Win2K computer with an OfficeJet 7310. A few weeks ago,
HP Update said there were updates available. One for HP Update itself,
and a few others I forget.
It first tried to update itself to what I assume is verison 5.2 (I don't
know what was on there before.) There appeared to be...

HP versus Brother by
UCLAN[_2_]
I am looking for a cheap b&w laser printer for an old XP system. Only
a few pages of text per week will be printed.
I have locally the Brother HL-2140 on sale for $59.98, and the HP P1006
at $99.98 to choose from.
Opinions?
Alternatives?
Thanks.

I need to set the IP address on a Sharp AR M450N printer. It has no

Does anyone know the steps involved, is it also possible to reset it
the initial factory conditions?

Spooler + Internet Access by
species8350
Hi,
My spooler seems to want access to the Internet.
Any idea why is should make such a request.
If denied, the printer will not work on-line or off-line.
Any ideas regarding these matters.

Brother MFC-290C help needed by
rb[_4_]
Got a Brother MFC-290C running off of Win XP.
No matter what I do, I can't get it printing worth a hoot. Printing is so
fine it's illegible on the paper.
What I did was increase the brightness, and tone. No soap. I also used
inkjet paper. No soap.
I did order black, blue, yellow, and red...

InkStop, we hardly knew ye by
[email protected]
Looks like InkStop has bitten the big one.
http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2009/10/inkstop_employees_are_suing_th.html
Given my experiences with them (the Lexmark Z1300 debacle from a year
or so back which I documented in this group) I can't say I'm surprised
but it's a shame they did...

Black banding on Laserjet 1300 by
DManzaluni
I just got in a laserjet 1300 which seems a whole lot newer than my
laserjet 6L? But pressing test print (and of course printing anything
from the printer) just results in masses of black banding running
horizontally across the page and all text being almost completely
obscured by the banding. It...

Colour laser no image output on paper by

My Epson c900 is not transferring the print image to the paper
The image is made up on the photo conductor, but not transferred to
the paper - except some slight random parts of the image
I recently loaded some new reconditioned colour toners, and after this
the problem started. But even if I put...

Mixing Cyan, Magenta, yellow to form Black by
species8350
Hi,
I have lots of couloured inks but no black.
I was thinking of mixing equal portions of CMY to form a black ink.
Am I likely to have any problems in using this ink in inkjet
cartridges
Thanks

IBM 4072 by
John Smith[_19_]
I have just found an old IBM 4072 printer in the attic. It looks to be about
15- 20 years old. I plugged it in and switched it on and all the lights lit
up, however I could not get any responses from any button presses. Is it
worth anything or is it broken and should I chuck it out?
