Simulate NAS traffic? by Capone
I'm trying to get some performance numbers on a NAS system and was trying to determine the most cost effective way to put a load on system. Do I have to get a whole bunch of nfs/cifs clients or is there a "black box" that essentially simulates the network traffic?

Assume a file /home/test in the WAFL filesystem and its snapshot as /.snapshot/hourly.x/test Both of them are having the same inode number say INO Now if /home/test is changed, why doesnt its inode number change, since INO will be needed to represent /.snapshot/hourly.x/test?
