Simulate NAS traffic? by
Capone
I'm trying to get some performance numbers on a NAS system and was
trying to determine the most cost effective way to put a load on
system. Do I have to get a whole bunch of nfs/cifs clients or is there
a "black box" that essentially simulates the network traffic?

Will
What are some good software utilities for surface testing hard drives for
errors under Windows 2000 / 2003? We were using IOMETER for a while, but

port it wants to own, and it also appears that development has stopped...

DVD changers for burners??? [revisited] by
Ken Moiarty
Well guys, I finally found my 'holy grail' robot to physically automate
CD/DVD disc spanning for backup purposes. No I'm not talking about one of
those office copier sized machines that only institutions can get enough use
out of to get a return on their institutional sized investment. However,...

WAFL snapshots implementation by
Ashwani
Assume a file /home/test in the WAFL filesystem and its snapshot as
/.snapshot/hourly.x/test
Both of them are having the same inode number say INO
Now if /home/test is changed, why doesnt its inode number change, since
INO will be needed to represent /.snapshot/hourly.x/test?
