Another Ebuyer query, about return postage refund by
John Blundell
Like a number of others, I am going through the Ebuyer RMA procedure. I
have returned the goods, and they have been accepted, and an order has
been set up to send me the replacements.
In my RMA I requested refund of the return postage. In their RMA number
allocation, they instructed me to send a...

Chill-Tek not honest? by
Dave Laker
I ordered some neon string and a case fan from Chill-Tek on the Saturday 20
Dec 03, as a late Christmas present for our son. OK I know it was cutting it
fine, but they offered next day delivery for £4.50. I thought they would
ship on the Monday and with luck the order would arrive by Christmas...

Custom P.C. supplier in Hertfordshire or surrounding areas? by
Nick D
What a minefield...Just had a refund on the last P.C. I bought (Q-Tek)
and I'm now looking to purchase a top end, high spec P.C from a
local-ish supplier. Prefer to deal with real people rather than the
likes of P.C world. A knowledge of Top of the range P.C.'s would be
good.

Anyone know where I can buy an LCD screen with no dead pixels? by
Alex Vallat
Hello,
I want to buy a UXGA TFT monitor (I've got my eye on the Dell 2001FP, or
LG L2010P, which both use the same panel), but I have a rather different
idea of how many dead pixels are 'acceptable' than most online vendors
seem to. Does anyone here know of any online vendors which will...

Legal question by
Dr Bombcrater
Hi All,
A Soltek mobo I bought about two years ago from Dabs has recently expired
due to leaking capacitors. I seem to recall that because leaking caps stem
from a defect that was present when the board was manufactured I'll be able
to ask for a replacement even when the warranty has expired.
Can...

£800ish laptop advice please!!! Acer Aspire 1353LC by
Jonathan Miles
Howdy,
I thought I'd try asking this again........
Any recommendations for a laptop at around the £800 mark? The friend I'm
asking for really wants to order it by the weekend. He's also decided he
wants to buy an extended warranty too. Bearing this in mind, I was wondering
about the Acer Aspire...

Barcode Scanners? by
Hawkeye-Pcs
Could anyone point me to a supplier of refurbished handheld barcode scanners
please. I saw one mentioned on here a while ago that were selling for around
35 quid and offered a months warranty too. Any ideas who it was?
Please email your reply as newsgroups are not checked very often.
TIA

In Stock - my arse. by
Rhys Jones
Is there some law against misleading customers about stock
availability? If not - why not?!
Most of the time when I'm buying online I will select a supplier
because they have stock of the goods rather than because they have a
better price. If I need something I usually need it now, not at...

Dabs - evil or just plain incompetent? Either way, USE SOMEONE ELSE. by
Ben Godber
A brief history of my order, followed by a long rant about customer
service and incompetent delivery firms:
1) Order placed last Monday. Courier delivery paid for.
2) Courier (Parcel Farce) turns up 2 days later - leaves a card
3) re-delivery requested same night to work address, as nearest...

Novatech - on the slow side by
none none
Ordered a single, in stock, item from them nearly two days ago now.
For the last day and a half the status of the order is "In Picking, Awaiting
Despatch".
What does that mean exactly?
The delivery that I paid for is 3-5 days, which they can still achieve.
However, I was always under the...

Toshiba DVD-ROM SD-M1802 by
Paul Hopwood
Anyone know a UK supplier for the above drive who either has stock or
can supply within a couple of days?
There seem to be two models SD-M1802B and SD-M1802K. I'd always
thought Toshiba used 'B' for bulk and for 'K' retail parts but
Redstore, who admitted are not renown for the accuracy of...
