Where to buy new that isn't Dell? by
Steve O
Hi group.
My 'mate' has asked me to advise him on buying a PC for surfing/email/office
so nothing too demanding.
I can't be arsed to built one, too much hassle when something goes wrong, so
as usual I've looked at Dell. Their prices are as fair as ever, and when I
have recommended them to other...

Dabs or Scan orders being dispatched yet? by
Sandi Luney
I ordered a few things from both Scan and Dabs. Scan has authorised my
payment but not picked the goods and Dabs have my order "sat in the van".
Both have been like this for 2 days. I'm getting fidgety!
Anyone ordered stuff and had it sent to them yet?
Regards
Dan B

If you want a GOOD computer, assembly one your own.
If you want a regular generic computer with low life spam, buy one from dell
or compac or any damn griffe.

ALDI 250 GB Western Digital Drive £79.99... by
Marcus Fox
7,200 RPM

Looks to be the UIDE drive that eBuyer have for £106.

Standard Terms & Conditions for new business website? by
Jamie
I'm about to launch my own website selling PCs (amongst other things.) Does
anyone know where I can obtain a standard set of Terms & Conditions for
free, which I can then personalise for my own business? Obviously, I'm not
looking to lift them straight from somebody else's business site! :0)
Many...

Mouse+Keyboard recommendation by

The cheapo mechanical wireless mouse that came with my Medion (Aldi) PC is
rubbish, and the time has now come to have it replaced.
My last PC (Gateway, bought around 5 years ago) came with a mechanical wired
Microsoft mouse, which hasn't given me Any trouble ever - if fact it is
still working...

Arias after sales service? by
jim.
Is it just me, or is Aria about the worst of the online boxshifters for
after sales service?
I've had good service from them when things work ok BUT....
It appears, as our colonial friends would say -
Their after-sales sucks BIGTIME.
Here's the moan ;-)
Or about half of the total hassle I've...

I've been given a two month trial to Xbox live and I signed up and connected

PC games) but that was not the case. I used Full Spectrum Warrior plus a
couple of others with the same result but managed to download...

Do ebuyer work on Sunday or bank holidays?? by

Ordered some crucial ram from ebuyer, just in case my existing ram was
incompatible.
Existing ram was compatible, so returned the crucial, (still sealed and
brand new) under the DSD via recorded delivery.
RMA raised on 24th, got email saying to return goods on 27th. Returned goods
on 30th. They...

Dell delivery times by

Hiya,
Just ordered a Dell Axim X50v from Dell's online store. The current offer
was 'free delivery', and there was no option to pick any other sort of
delivery.
Anyway, only after I bought the item was I presented with:
'Please note Dell builds all systems to order, and delivery will take...
