Restoring BIOS by
Fishb8
Pretty dumb question. If I make alterations in my BIOS to overclock, and it
fails to boot up, how can I return to my original settings. Will removing
and replacing the battery do it?

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ OC by
Jordan Petkov
Hi
Can anyone tell me what are the "limits" of overclocking for Athlon 64 3500+
Newcastle 130nm core?
Is the Winchester version more overclockable being thinner and less heat
dissipating?
Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Idle 52C - Full Load 60C by
Jack Spungo
I've overclocked my 2600 barton to be a 2800 barton.
Are thet temps too high or pretty much ok? By idle I mean internet browsing,
MP3's playing, word processing... just general use. Full load was an hour of
Prime95 running the CPU at 100%. It maxed out at 60C by about minute 20 and
the temp never...

ASRock K7V4A+ overclock snag by
Martin
Hi,
I'm using the above mobo with an Athlon XP 3000+ CPU. I've wired the CPU
pins as per the guidance at Tom's hardware. I've set the jumpers on the
mobo to give a multiplier of 15. However, the CPU frequency in BIOS is
still showing default (about 2169 from memory), when it should be 2500....

Ok, I have an xp 2000+ with an asus a7400-mx mb, 512 pc 2100 ram, and gf

I found procedures on how to "unlock" the potential of this cpu by

mobile, my multiplier will go to 24, and the procedures for setting...

Question re Athlon chips w Soltek board by
SJW
Hi Guys
Currently I have an Athlon tbred 2200+ on a Soltek SL-75FRN2-RL nForce2
mainboard. I have it running at 2400+ (2.0Ghz). This is with a 200Mhz FSB
and a 10x mult. I would like to upgrade to a faster processor, but don't
want to drop the bus to 333Mhz and lose synch with the DDR400 ram....

Need opinions on new cpu/mobo by
the6carrules
I think my Athlon XP 2200+ has just died. I'll be verifying that over
thanksgiving when I travel to my parents and swap out some stuff
between their machine and mine to determine what's going on with mine.
I suppose it could be either my memory, mobo or PSU that is the
issue, but I don't think...

Athlon 2800+ unstable by
TTJ
I experience random boots with my system. When running at default
speed 166*12,5 the system will boot aprox. every 10 minutes. The only
way I have got it stabilized is to underclock the system. It seems to
be stable around 100*12,5
The Award Bios emits periodic high/low beeps at boot. This seem...

Could someone offer and opinion here...
My abit nf7s claims agp4x(1.5v) and agp8x(.8v) compatibility.... my old
