Recommendations for NF2 MB ... ABIT NF7 or ASUS 87N8X by
Wookie
Hey,
I'm torn between two MB's right now .... the ABIT NF7 and the ASUS 87N8X.
I'm interested in which is more stable and which is the best in mild OC'er
(With air). I've seen where many OC'ers like the BIOS options in the NF7
and but I notice that most of the system builders use the ASUS board...

O.T. , Radeon 9800 Pro overclock program question by
[email protected]
I installed Rage3D Tweak and I am not sure if it supports the
9800 Pro. The program refers to the 9000 and 9700 but does not mention the
9800 Pro. Can someone please verify this? Also, what other good tweak
programs are there? Thanks.

Laptop: 1.06 GHz or 1789 MHz? by
Zakharin
I recently got a Compaq laptop advertised as having a Mobile Athlon XP 2

FreshDiagnose reports 1789/1791 MHz with Whetstone 4778 and Dhrystone 5442
and Sandra reports 1.06 GHz with Whetstone 2664 and Dhrystone 6403. Windows

I've, as I mentioned, an Epox 8KHA+ motherboard, and was wondering if

Basically, how. =)
The CPU is an Athalon 1600 (1.4GHz) and 1 stick of 512MB 2100 DRAM.
Web searching and searching has lead me to reviews of the board saying
it's very...

Opinion required by
Doug Whitesell
I need an opinion. I am currently in the process of speccing an (almost)-entirely new machine:
Asus A7N8X
GeForce FX 5200 (64mb RAM)
1 gig DDR (PC3200)
I have drives already and a case on the way.
What I would like is an honest opinion: should I just buy a Barton 2800+ (which I can afford...

Athlon cooling fan by
Paul Greer
You can get fans all over. PCWorld might stock them. I know Maplins do. If
you can't find a 60x60x10, I find that an 80x80x25 fan and a small amount of
duck tape does the trick :-)

Would this be any better than a stndard air cooled HSF?
Is it even suitable for cooling a processor?
