Fan controlers what one's do you recomend ?? by
We Live For The One We Die For The One
Ive got this stock 120mm fan, rated at 45db at 12 volt, somthing like
108 to 120 cfm i think.
ITS A TORNADO, in CFM and noise.
I installed it with rubber bands to cut down the noise worked, but
even at 7 volts its noisy.
How low a voltage can i run a 120 mm fan ??.

Best bang for the buck by
zalzon
I am currently using an AMD 200Mhz, 32mb.
I figure in a few months, i will have to put my trusted friend in the
basement and upgrade to a new system.
I will remove the floppy drive, the CD-ROM 24x, the speakers, the
printer, scanner, the CRT monitor, and use the 3.2 gig HD as a second
drive on...

Stephen Austin
Hey All,
I was just wondering, I'm sure many of you have opinions on this. If money
wasn't a constraint - what would make the *Best* gaming machine. What would
you include?

Ryan Adams
Hi all,
I was looking LCD monitors. Of course, money is tight so I was looking
at rebates to save a little money. I got on the Sony site in their
rebate section and I found the stuff shown below. Has anyone ever
encountered restrictions like this?

Lap Top by

Not really since the parts are pretty much non-interchangable. There are
companies that sell kits or the loose parts to build certain "whitebook"
models. Twinhead is one of the companies that come to mind that do this.

WD hd is half dead....can I erase it? by
Wayne Tarzwell
My WD Caviar 205BA was diagnosed as dying and I managed to get WD to replace
it as is was within 3 years since I bought it.
My problem now is that I do have some sensitive information in the HD that I
would rather have erased before sending the HD to them.
Is there any way I can simply erase all...

I know these posts are all too common and probably annoy regulars, but I'm
going to go ahead anyway ;)
I'd like to build a new PC before I go to university in October and would
like your recommendations. I'll leave out all the fancies in the spec (I
fear I have fallen foul of the modding...

sdlomi
Need to buy a dvd/cdrom drive for new system. I don't need anything
fancy, just a basic unit with any cable(s) I may need. What's a good,
inexpensive brand? Prefer a 1-year warranty. Thx in
