I have a Win-XP PC based on a soyo mb and an athlon 1.33 processor. It has been running fine for about 2 years. This past week, it began doing stop/system dumps and, at times, just rebooting. The system also is now prone to freezing up at times throughout the day. Here is what I have looked...

Not really, unless you buy a Dell. It's a restore cd that OEMer's send with their systems. Even if you could get it working in another pc you wouldn't be able to activate it.

Biostar mini ATX biggest CPU? by AJ
In the manual for the Biostar M7VKQ. PRO, it doesn't tell what the max Mhz speed is. The biggest one in a bundle was an XP2100 or 2200+. If anyones gotten a bigger one working that would be great to know. Otherwise I'll put a 2100+ in it. _________________________ When your PC gives a little they...

First Overclocking Experiments with EP-8RGA+. Advice welcome. by Wayne Phillips
Sorry to cross post; this ended up in the wrong newsgroup. I have a AMD Athelon XP 2400+ on an EP-8RGA+ board with Kingston PC2700 RAM (2 x 256). When I first assembled the machine I set FBS = 166 and dropped the multiplier from 14.5 to 11.5 as suggested by Bas Ruiter here to avoid overclocking...

HDD temperature too low?! by Newt Lives
OK, I just stopped by to ask this... Can a low temperature damage my HDD? I have a Maxtor 60GB 7200rpm HDD and, well, its temperature really tends to get very high, even with an open computer case (you can barely touch it, it's about 60 C, I guess). Since all my other components also need a lot of...
