Intel D875 vs D865 by Alfa
Simple question , what is the advantage of the 875 over the 865 mobs. Is the speed difference that noticable. I'm looking at getting a new mob with 3.0Ghz cpu for gaming & video rendering just can't decide which way to go. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers

How to change the processor core voltage for P3/P4 CPU by Alice Li
Hello, Is it possible to change the processor core voltage for intel P3/P4 CPU? I know we can usually change the frequency from motherboard jumpers or from the BIOS; however, is there similar way to adjust the processor core voltage? I saw some Intel spec for the P3/P4 CPU, it said there are some...

I've tried to explain some strange branch mispredictions rates i'm having on pentium4. I've instrumented the guilty piece of code with PAPI calls to get the performance counters. Well, after reading all the available docs, it is still unclear to me why this happens. Everyone knows now about the...

The fine art of hitting by Aloke Prasad
Anyone mastered the art of hitting F2 to enter the BIOS setup page? On fast system (875PBZ, P43GHz, 2G DDR400), the window of opportunity of hitting F2 is too small. During that time, the video screen is usually blank as well. It's like a video game here!! I usually start pressing the F1...

I'm preparing to build a system using this board. I am reading the manuals from the Intel support site and had the following questions: 1. If I install two SATA drives (attached to the 2 SATA connectors) and "RAID them", will the latest version of Ghost (or DriveImage) be able to image the RAIDed...

Are Intel Chipset INF installer, Application Accelerator needed on XP Pro SP2? by Aloke Prasad
For the Intel 850 chipset motherboard, these are pretty old (released in early 2003). Are this still needed (or do they help) on a fresh install of XPPro with Service Pack 2 ? I figured that MS would be using the latest information about the chipsets, IDE drivers etc..with it's latest service...
