A7N8X deluxe BSOD's by
Rigga
Thanks for the suggestions guys, though I think I may have finally
cracked it, I had set the reserve bandwidth for QOS to 0% bumping it
back up to 10% seems to have solved the problem. I guess not all
tweaks work for every system !
Thanks again.

Clive Lumb wrote:
Will your monitor go up to 85 Hz ? If so, does it still flicker ?
What happens at 75Hz at a lower resolution.
Otherwise if you drop your resolution or colour depth you might be
able to get to a higher refresh rate.
That being said 75Hz should NOT flicker.
I can tell if...

sloket, 512mb ECC memory each- w/ Win 98se. The motherboard is Asus P2bf, in
all three. Two of the thee are purchases from EBay. Get a P3bf off of EBay
for a few bucks. You'd move all your peripherals and the hard drive...

Anyone running Corsiar DDR in their A7N8X dlx? by
George
I have been using the XMS PC3500 for over a year now without problems.
Well, seems like a year on the first release of the Asus A7N8x Deluxe. I
even OC'd to 400 FSB on the 333 board.
Great RAM!

Enable "Halt on No Errors" and disable Post Reporter. Chances are
good this error is incorect and your RAM is fine. The A7N8X series is
buggy in this regard.

I put an old 486 fan on top of mine, i have found the southbridge needs a
small passive heatsink on it (memory coolers are ideal) as for changing it
completely i dont see why not, the cooler you keep it the stabler the system
will be ;-) Cooling memory also helps alot.

Is there a reason you want to forego the use of IDE altogether? I would
think that having your CD-RW on the IDE controller separate from the SATA
controller would provide performance superior to that of adding an IDE
device as a slave on an SATA controller, is that an incorrect...
