went well at first; the chip was automatically recognised with the
following BIOS settings:
CPU Speed 2133MHz

Overclockers UK are rip off merchants by
Dancing stag
I bought an MSI K7N2 motherboard from Overclockers UK as a replacement
for my existing damaged board.
After installing the board, et al, my machine still would not boot,
calling an error in the RAM, and beeping like buggery.
I bought a new RAM stick from someone other than OcUK, because they

BIOS?
Sandra 2003 reports board temps of 55 degrees C and Power/Aux temps of 73

1.8 Duron vs XP2000 by
Rob
I have just bought a XP2400 and was going to stick the XP2000 in our other
PC which has a 1.8 Duron in it. Silly question coming up...
Which is better, the duron or the athlon? I know the athlon is only running
at 1.67Ghz but is it worth swapping them over?
Regards
Rob

provide a part number for me??? I have only been able to find XP or MP
models on the 'net and don't know if they are even what I'm looking for....

939 over the Socket 754 version of the Athlon 64s?
My current AMD chip is running 900MHz and doing ok for most things but
I'm getting together speck for the next one so I can give this one over

Athlon XP Barton 2500 shows XP1700 by
BubbaPrime
K7S5A Pro - ECS Mainboard
Brand new retail (from Newegg) Athlon XP 2500 Barton
I think but not sure...
Bios shows XP1700
FSB is set to 133/133
cannot increase the FSB to 166/166
board supports 200/266
is this why I do not see the CPU correctly?
